The enrollment process consists of four steps: (1) submitting the completed Application for Enrollment form; (2) interviewing with the instructor, John Wallace; (3) committing to attend Philosophy Camp daily and agreeing to pay a non-refundable portion of the program fee; and (4) receiving permission from the instructor to register in Phil 4326 (6 credits).

REGISTRATION
When your enrollment in Philosophy Camp 2008 has been accepted, you will receive a permission number from John Wallace to register for Phil 4326, Lives Worth Living: Questions of Self, Vocation, and Community. Registration opens April 8 for degree-seeking students at the University of Minnesota and April 15 for non-degree-seeking individuals and any student enrolled at another college or university (all are welcome and eligible to register for May and Summer Session courses). Students enrolled by April 1 must register by April 22.
COST AND PAYMENT DUE
The costs for Philosophy Camp are:
$900 program fee (covers room, board, and supplies)
$1,834.62 undergraduate* tuition (2008 rate = 6 credits at $305.77 per credit)**
$300 University fees ($50 per cedit)**
The number of single and double rooms available will vary with enrollment. If enrollments require double-occupancy, students who share rooms will receive a $200 program fee refund.
The University will bill the cost of tuition and fees in mid-June; the bill will be due on July 9.
Once you are enrolled in Philosophy Camp, should you decide not to register for Phil 4326 or later withdraw from the course, you will still be charged for and will be responsible for paying $450 of the program fee. Should Philosophy Camp not enroll enough students for Phil 4326 to be taught, you will owe nothing.
